Fr. Ed Schleter

Born in Tiffin, Ohio in 1941, Fr. Ed is the middle of the 9 children of Joseph and Cecelia Schleter (both deceased). Both parents grew up on farms, as did Fr. Ed. 

Fr. Ed attended Clinton Public Grade School, Calvert Catholic High School, St. Meinrad College Seminary and St. Mary Theological Seminary (during Vatican II).  He was ordained a priest in 1967 for the Diocese of Toledo. 

Fr. Ed joined St. Caspar in July, 2007.  Some of the parishes Fr. Ed has previously served include St. Mary (Defiance), Regina Coeli and St. Francis de Sales (Toledo) and St. Aloysius (Bowling Green).

In June 2011, Fr. Ed has been granted Senior Status and has been appointed chaplain to St. Bernardine Home in Fremont and chaplain and presbyteral moderator of Clyde, St. Mary parish.
